UNPRECEDENTED TUNING CONTROLManufactured from the same materials as the #22-LP Professional Lever for Grands, this tuning lever separates tuning and tilting forces in the same way. However, because of its smaller profile, it's significantly stiffer and lighter, transmitting information from the pin to the hand with unparalleled clarity.Because the Upright Professional is positioned in the piano in the same way as a traditional L-lever, it allows tuners accustomed to using an L-lever to take advantage of the improved control offered by a C-lever without having to modify their technique. As an added benefit, the Upright Professional positions the tuner's elbow over the back of the piano, rather than cantilevering it in front of the plate, adding to the tuner's ability to control precisely the forces being applied to the pin.TIP: While the Upright Professional has been designed to reach every pin on virtually every vertical piano, it won't reach the most distal pins in the high treble of some larger uprights; it won't fit under the large overhanging lids of a few American spinets and consoles; and it's awkward to use in string repairs. For that reason, it should be accompanied in the field with a conventional L-lever. (The #TH-13 Utility Lever makes an ideal companion.)Welded tubular stainless steel construction for maximum stiffness.
