SMALL Grand Piano Dolly with Brakes. For pianos 4'8" - 5'11"
I could not secure a grand piano dolly from any of our loocal stores so I went online. I found most to be priced at over $1,000 plus shipping. I discovered Piano Showcase by accident in my google search. The price was 1/4 cheaper than other sites and free shipping. It arrived 4 days after I ordered. It was heavy duty and the materials are super quality. A+
Just what I needed. Institutional strength, big wheels that don’t mar my wood floors, easy to move with one person, very stable. Piano height is almost exactly the same. One person can assemble the dolly but definitely use two people to mount the piano. Good tip to put 2X4 blocks under the dolly feet. Keeps the opposite sides from rising when you put the first piano leg on.
The dolly was dispatched to Canada quickly after my order was placed and arrived safely in 3 manageable boxes. The dolly is very sturdy and with careful planning was able to be installed under the piano safely and relatively easily by two people. The dolly allows me to move my piano over hardwood floors with ease and no damage to the floors. Use blocks under the ends of the arms when installing.
Did the job. Nice heavy gauge metal, easy to assemble.
We did extensive research as to which Piano Dolly would best suit our needs for our 1875 Victorian 6-1/2 foot restored grand. Also attempts to purchase a dolly locally were fully unsuccessful.
